I purchased NOS Omas Bibliotheque Nationale with flexible double broad nib. It writes beauifully then stops. It still has ink in it because when I open the blind cap, ink pours out. I have rinsed it with water and a 1:3 mixture of Formula 409 a la Kevin Cheng. Any suggestions other than sending it back? Also, anyone know original retail price?

Hi, zenshrink. It could be any number of things, but the first two possibilities that come to mind, given that it's a BB: either 1) a feed that can't keep up with the nib (because the feed channels aren't wide enough or because they're clogged) or, perhaps more likely, a baby-bottom problem, which is common with broader nibs. Unfortunately, neither is a problem you should try to fix yourself. Best,
David

Try getting a professional to look at it at a local pen store or an online store. There are many ways to clean a pen.
