I am wondering if anyone knows how or where to contact MB for repairs to pens and also what they charge for such repairs.

I have a MB No. 55 that the cap that controls the piston came out bringing the whole piston with it. I could probably just shalack it back in but if I can send it back for a reasonable price I will do that.

I am also contemplating buying a cracked MB pen. The crack is described as VERY small (I will see pics tonight). I thought I heard that they do crack repairs...? What does that cost?

Thanks!
Nikolaos
I had vintage MB restored by Horst Max Schrage (max@maxpens.de). He used to work for MB for many years and is an expert with MB pens. I am sure he will be able to help. Also Tom Westeric. Try www.penboard.de. There is plenty of information there

hope it helps

I've sent pens to MB in Bethlehem, PA recently, and they have turned the repairs around quickly. I had my pens back in under 3 weeks. You can also take them to a MontBlanc boutique and they can do most repairs in house.

I was told by MB that they will repair any part of the pen for a flat 55.00 EXCEPT the nib. That runs more.

If you do send it to them, be sure to insure it. You can find the address on their website.

I am from Allentown, PA and had no idea MB was in Bethlehem. Is it worth a visit if you don't have a repair???

Sorry to burst your bubble, but they just charged me $75 to replace a cracked "precious resin" cap.

Ouch! Maybe the busted pen isnt such a good idea then! As far as mine goes, I may try fixing it on my own...

Earlier this year, I bought a MB rollerball which had a severly cracked cap. The pen is genuine, but with the damage, I only paid $20 for it. I never pay retail prices for any MB because I know they are fragile. I paid the $75 repair, and even then I felt I was pushing my maximum for this particular pen. I will give the MB boutique in St.Louis some complements. Their customer service was excellent with fast turn around time.
