Hi lanatir,

Any Pelikan addict who was still in doubt with regard to the purchase of this pen, is now off in a rush to the nearest pen store, you do realize that, don't you?

Warm regards, Wim

thanks Wim... the pelikan is a gift for someone special... and i can't wait to see the look on her face when i give it to her. it's wonderfully finished and if there was a version in M800 size, i would not hesitate to buy one for myself. it glows ethereally!

Great pictures, Lanatir! biggrin.gif That should set the heart of that "someone special" all a flutter. wub.gif

That pen has proven difficult to photograph, but you have handled it nicely. I'm sure that Denis, who recently bought one, will chime in here during his breaks in his employment interview rehearsals. He did some fine photographs of it, too!

I wish you guys would have a little consideration for mere mortals. I had barely gotten myself under control from Denis' photos, and now you come along with these. My head is starting to hurt! rolleyes.gif

That's it !!! These are the truest colours of the pen I've seen on pictures. (If you missed it Kelvin, there is a thread where I tried with my poor camera handling skills to catch these colours.)

Beautitul pictures as usual. And now I know that if I want to know the colours of a hard to catch pen, I'll harass you to shoot it and post it here biggrin.gif

Hey, Kelvin, I read what Denis said, and he clearly implied that he would purchase tongue.gif the pens for you to photograph!

Now that Denis has allowed as how your pictures have nailed the actual color of the pen, I must say that the pen has now taken on less of the "chick stick" look that I had previously attributed to it. blush.gif [WHISPER]See folks, these photographs play down the feminine look of the pen and justify a big, tough, he-man, like me, purchasing it.[/WHISPER] laugh.gif

Oohh... Denis, am waiting for new pens anxiously heheheh...

Roger, seriously, u would love the pearl finish of the pen case... ad the pen itself, i would not hesitate to use it if i had a matching shirt. while i am not a fan of the first novona, i am looking forward to more of these 'interesting places' pelikans.

woodwindmaster, thanks smile.gif

See how I avoid the turn that threads has taken... <back up slowly... don't turn your back to the attacher... grab your pens tightly... where is that door ???> unsure.gif

The colors are quite interesting in the pen- and as with many Pelikans it looks slick in a classy sort of way.

If it were a bit older you'd have Place De La Revolution, and that one would be brown, silver, and red. Perhaps a taller and more square design would have to be present for that.

Kelvin:

Your pictures are always so wonderful. They are a joy to see and someday, I hope to be able to producr 1/2 as good a quality.

I just upgraded my camera from a point and click to a Nikon D40, so I hope to be able to get some decent shots with practice. I know you use a light tent and indirect lighting, but I am curious, do you use a macro, or do you use converter lenses?

Oh my what great pictures of a sweet pen! Pelikan should snap those up from you for an ad campaign, they are far better than any that they put out there to try to see that pen. I was torn between the Place De La Concorde and the Grand Place and went for the Grand Place. I love it but now wish I had both!
lanatir
Andy, macro

Perry, it's not too late eh?

Thanks guys smile.gif
