Where's the Starry Night blue? I'd rather wait until it's up so I don't have to pay shipping for two separate bottles. Is there any idea when those might begin production?
How many of the Tulipe Noire are being produced?

Answer to blue ink question:
We're still discussing things with Nathan. We don't know yet, IOW.
Tulipe Noire:
Probably two boxes full, IOW, 288 bottles. However, as with all FPN inks, if we have enough orders to cover initial cost of a full box production run, we can always do another run.

Ordered my two bottles and reminded about the bottle of Galileo I had put on hold. Best friend just told me I should change my handle from Pengrump to Ink-pig.

(Just because I currently own 106 bottles of ink.)

Hmmm. I wonder what he would call me, then. Currently slightly ashamed owner of 179 inks, of which 169 in bottles, not counting any doubles...

A little confusion seems to have ensued with my order. I emailed to request an invoice for two bottles of Tulipe Noire and one of the Galileo I had held for me. I also indicated that I did not wish to wait for the blue ink about which no decision has been reached by fpnadmin yet. For some reason my invoice was only for the Galileo. Am I missing something?

No, I was. I sent the invoice before adding the Tulipe Noire. It has been corrected and re-sent. If it makes you feel any better, the original invoice charged you shipping for all 3 bottles

I thought I missed something that I was supposed to do since I've never ordered FPN ink before. All is well though. And I'm on my way out the door with addressed stamped envelope containing check and copy of invoice. Thanks again!

As long as we get enough orders to cover the initial cost of a full set, we will keep on taking orders. Just that it could take a little longer once the initial two boxes are sold out, and we have to save up for the next one.

As of 8:14 AM EDT 128 bottles have been sold.
We are getting low on the FPN Manuscript Brown and a decision has to be made soon whether or not to order another case.

Any word on the selection of the blue color? I'd be willing to wait for my other bottles, if the selection and creation process for the blue was close to being complete.

It's not really close to being complete. We're waiting for word from Noodler's on another choice.

I ordered my 2 bottles, one each Tulipe Noire and Galileo Manuscript brown, PayPal payment made shortly after getting the invoice. The little notice said something about the Tulipe Noire being sent in 3-4 weeks but no mention of how long it would take for the brown. Did I miss something?
No rush or anything, just sorta curious how long it will all take.....

I'd like to order a bottle, but the shipping costs to Singapore are a little insane. US$11 is the cheapest shipping option - almost as much as a bottle.
To try saving on shipping, would like to start a mass order to this little country.
Have PM'ed some fellow Singaporeans on these forums, but if you're reading this and would like to join in, please PM me.

Hi Mike,
In the top post of this topic you'll find the link to the ordering info:
http://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/in...st&p=405939All inks are indeed Noodler's inks, the Galileo being a bulletproof ink, the Tulipe Noire a "standard" Noodler's ink, and both are exclusive to FPN, as will be the blue in its final incarnation.

Maybe I should not have been so fast in ordering the Galileo. I have had poor results so far with 2 different Noodlers, 1 fair outcome with Lexington.
However, I have a new Marlen (with its own problem, another story in another thread) So I will be testing again tonight.
Kind regards

Weird. Have you ever flushed your pens prior to using them, from new? Fill a glass with water, add 1-2 drops non-scented dishwashing liquid, stir, fill pen a few times with this, expel everything again, dry well (tissue), fill pen with ink.
The FPN Galileo Manuscript Brown is a problemless ink, it flows as well if not better than Waterman Blue Black, so it is a good ink for priming a pen as well (first few fills to soak in the feed properly). It does show a little nib creep, but nothing compared to, e.g., Legal Lapis.
Oh, do use a decent quality paper, that does help. The cheaper notepads sold in the US, which I have experienced, are not the greatest for fountain pens and fountain pen inks; they are designd for ballpoint ink, not fountain pen ink.
HTH, warm regards, Wim

I hate to seem impatient or over-eager, but how long should someone wait for their invoice after sending their order email (I'm just envisioning the email going amiss, and me missing out altogether!)
Thanks!

If you order the ink without any holds for future ink, you should have the invoice within the same day, or next day if it's late.
