Most fountain pen dealers here all seem to say you must only use MB ink in their pens as it contains a "super cleaner."
This reminds me of the stance of IBM back in the days of main frame computers and punch cards. They said you could only use IBM punch cards as other brands would jam. This was of course rubish and it lead to one of the longest legal battles in US history.
Yeah, and the funny thing is, purportedly using another brand of ink also voids the warranty. Super Cleaner, precious resin, Warranty Voiding, One Time Use disposable 'cleaning cartridges' of Super Cleaner - the latter actually being quite handy for flushing c/c pens because they are easy to carry, fantabulous for travel, much easier and faster than using the converter, and are, of course, reusable, and of course no use for a 146 piston.. but I thought I'd blather on anyway as insomnia tends to bring out the Best of Blather. The Super Cleaner? distilled water. Love the pens; hate the racket.

Oh, and right now my 146 is actually using MB ink.. Iron Skank blue/black.. and loves it. I do like their Violet too... very dark.. but gotta drain carts to put it in your 146..
