I've been looking at Visconti fountain pens on the web, and came across a couple of sellers on ebay. These are Prahableu and Outletline, both in the US, both with lot's of good feedback.

Has anyone dealt with these guys? Can any of you FPN'ers give the seal of approval thumbup.gif to either of them?

Do any of you Visconti fans have a dealer hmm1.gif you want to recommend?

I have a Voyager, and it pines for a partner....

Yep... I've purchased Viscontis from both sellers. I've also chanced upon a Visconti from totalofficeproductservices on eBay. I don't know about a seal of approval, but I've not had any problems with the two sellers that you're inquiring about, nor the one I mention in this post. As far as other good online sources for Viscontis, I've purchased plenty from World Lux (www.worldlux.com) and Fountain Pen Domain (www.penseller.com). Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

Ta very much Girlie....I've just had a look at penseller.com, and they have a great range! I have lots to go at now.

I shall have a really good browse tomorrow (selecting a new pen is a pleasure to be savoured), after a good night's sleep..... it's bed-time here in the UK.

Just a tip: if you're based in the UK, you might want to get yourself a US mail forwarding address. It's a good way to avoid extortionate customs charges, as not all US sellers are cooperative in this respect.

I purchased a pen case from them in February with no problems, but haven't gone looking there in a while.

In my opinion, Prahableu would offer better service but might have higher prices.

Outletline offers lots of pens starting at $1, and quite often you may be able to win a pen at a price lower than Prahableu. Most people have said that Outletline is fine, and I have also bought pens from them without problems (well they did send me the wrong nib once, but I couldn't be bothered complaining), BUT some people have said they are difficult to deal with if any problems arise.

Have bought at least once from both and got good pens as advertised, but Prahableu's gotten multiple return business from me with better service and availability. Neither will be the least expensive, but Praha's lovely about detailed descriptions, communication and pleasant attitude.

You might want to check with Pam the Pen Goddess Braun at Oscar Braun pens and see what she can get for you. Haven't lived in the UK for 15 years, so I forget the intricacies of shipping, payments, etc.

OUTLETLINE is no good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would be wary.................he mentioned a certain S&H cost in an auction and a higher one in the invoice.Rude an unprofessional

Will never bid there again. angry.gif

I am posting this in all topics which refer to his reliability.

How does a US forwarding address work ? If there is an easy way to avoid the custom charges, I'm interested !!

Did you take this up with him at the time?

I only ask because so many others seem satisfied with him(often very much so), and I wondered if this might have been a simple mistake, rather than being 'rude & unprofessional'?

[I have only dealt with him briefly and found him friendly and co-operative....I had bid for one of his pens mistakenly, in a 'senior moment'] rolleyes.gif

Hmmm.... I'm trying to figure out why there are suddenly three (3) separate threads relating to Outletline in an active status (i.e., with posts in the last few hours). One thread would be enough to answer the original poster's question. The other two threads seem to have been "resurrected" from the distant past.
