I made this a year ago and am getting ready to part with it.
THis is not an ad I just thought I would post it while I still have it.
Everything in this pen is wood.
The "stone and mortar" body is sycamore and maple.
The cross in the inlay is Irish bog oak
The picture in the inlay is comprised of veneers I dyed and thicknessed and then scrolled to make the inlay.
The "frame" is African blackwood,
The width at the CB is .67"

I saw that at the D/C pen show. The blank is flawless, it is definitely a piece of art.

I did not see in this thread, and do not remember if I PM'd you, but how much would this, or one like it, cost? It is truly a beauty.

I also make and sell a much simpler inlaid blank as can be seen here.Gerry R commissioned these for a regular customer of his.He supplied the Bow and did a great job turning these.

I do not use any computer generated aids in my inlays.

There are others who use who farm out the materials to have someone do the actual cutting with a laser.
A search on the IAP will lead you to those.
