Full Version: a nice gold ink for spencerian?

I've been asked to write names in gold ink at the top of menu cards in Spencerian...

a friend let me borrow some gouache (gold from Savoir Faire and gold pearl from Schmincke) and after playing around with it, I'm not pleased. My up-strokes are very light; hardly visible.

Another recommended Winsor Newton Gold Ink, but I have yet to try it.

Can someone suggest something for me? I'm down in San Antonio, TX but I suppose I could rush order something. The job has to be completed by next Saturday, and I will not have the cards until this Saturday. It's not leaving me much time!

THANK YOU for any help!
Elaine
I have Dr. Ph. Martin's Iridescent copper and I love it. It really pops off the page. The thins are nice and thin, but don't disappear. I would think that the gold would be great too.

I use W&N Gold ink for Illustration work, mostly with a brush. You could use it in a dip pen but NEVER in a fountain pen. It has metallic particles.
