Well, I don't know what took me so long to find this little group. I've been collecting old and new (I try not to use the word vintage) pens for more than 15 years now. Currently I'm putting together a complete set of PFM pens. I'm a founding member of the Long Island Pen Club, married with two married children and two grandsons (one of whom calls me "PenMan"). biggrin.gif

KCat, are you thinking of, "Any landing you can wallk away from..."?

Welcome, Norman. Hope you enjoy this place as much as I do.

Greetings Norman,

Nice thing about this forum is that you can put as much or as little time in here as you see fit. biggrin.gif

With only a handful of months time in type, I'm a neophyte next to you, so I'll be gleaning from you as you regale us with PFM lore.

Welcome and enjoy!
Gerry
Welcome to the FPN Norman. Looking forward to reading your posts here.

Hopefully some of your LI Pen CLub members would also like to join us.

Norm(man)! Sorry, saw the name and had flashbacks to when I used to watch "Cheers." Rest assured, you'll be equally welcomed here. Glad to have you aboard and looking forward to getting to know you around the boards.

With you FP experience, I'm sure you'll have much to contribute. What are some of arrows in your FP quiver? What's your favorite new one? Favorite old one? TIA, southpaw.

"Get Here"

by Oleta Adams

You can reach me by railway, you can reach me by trailway
You can reach me on an airplane, you can reach me with your mind
You can reach me by caravan, cross the desert like an Arab man
I don't care how you get here, just get here if you can
You can reach me by sail boat, climb a tree and swing rope to rope
Take a sled and slide down the slope, into these arms of mine
You can jump on a speedy colt, cross the border in a blaze of hope
I don't care how you get here, just get here if you can

There are hills and mountains between us
Always something to get over
If I had my way, surely you would be closer
I need you closer oh closer

You can windsurf into my life, take me up on a carpet ride
You can make it in a big balloon, but you better make it soon
You can reach me by caravan, cross the desert like an Arab man yeah
I don't care how you get here, just get here if you can

I don't care, I need you right here right now
I need you right here right now right by my side
Yeah yeah yeah
I don't care how you get here, just get here, get here
I don't care how you get here, just get here if you can
Get here if you can

I almost forgot to say...
Welcome to FPN, Norman biggrin.gif

Like the aforementioned bar in "Cheers", FPN is a friendly place, where everyone knows your name... laugh.gif

Like many other members, I love Sheaffer pens, so if you could possibly post a photo of your current PFM collection, it would be greatly appreciated...or if you are like me and can't use a digital camera, you could just describe it to us smile.gif
