I just wanted to say that my loved/hated Stipula 22 titanium nibbed fp that has caused me such aggravation because of a constant skip is back home again at last!
I handed it to the Stipula rep. at the D.C. show and he saw the problem when he asked me to write something. He assured me I would have the pen in perfect working order by the end of September.
Today it arrived in the mail in perfect order, true to the gentleman's word. I regret not having taken care of this problem last year but since "all's well that ends well," I only have nice things to say tonight about Stipula.

Contrary to what some folks at the retail level have expressed about Stipula, I find them a real joy to deal with and offer excellent customer support. They are a really nice family business.

Glad to hear your 22 is working out well. I'm a big fan of Stipula pens (between my husband and myself, we own 5). They all wrote beautifully right out of the box, and I've already bookmarked my next Stipula buy on eBay.

I also had problems with my 22, and in fact, it was repaired/replaced a total of 4 times before it was truly fixed. 2 of those times, it was due to the clear center section cracking (they made a change to the material at some point).
I also love my 22 now that all of the problems have been fixed. I also have a I Castoni, a Duetto, a Pinnochio with the titanitium nib, and an LA91. The LA91 has had problems with the retracting mechanism not working smoothly, but it is something I have learned to live with.

I have a 22 old style black with titanium broad nib. It skips a lot only on amalfi paper with Montblanc bordeaux ink.

I'm glad your 22 has worked out for you. I love mine, a broad point in Capri blue. It looks quite striking loaded with Levenger Cobalt Blue.

Funny, but right after this thread, I filled my 22 and the knob on the end where you turn the piston pulled right out. It looks like a little bit of super glue will do the trick, but this has been one of my fussiest pens, and it remains true to form.
