I have been browsing FPN for awhile. I'm currently in college and trying to graduate which is long overdue. I bought my first fountain pen a few months ago. I still have the receipt and plastic box that came with it! After reading many posts I settled for a Lamy Safari Al-Star Aluminum M and a c/c. I didn't even bother to use the cartridge that came with it. I also bought a bottle of PR DC Supershow Blue. This website is so addicting. I spend too much time on here when I really should be studying so I can get that piece of paper.

I'm studying Business and I hope this is my last time I change my major (changed it twice already).

I just ordered 4 samples (Polar Black, Black BP, Navy, Blue-Black) from Pear Tree Pen expecting it to arrive this week I hope! I'm looking for something similar to DC Supershow Blue but permanent. I having trouble finding a permanent ink close to that color. I take a lot of notes and am now looking for something along the line of Bulletproof or Near-Bulletproof. I don't really write checks anymore when nowadays I can just make payments electronically. I want to buy a Namiki Vanishing Point FP and maybe a custom nib from Richard Binder maybe as a very early Christmas present. It might be too soon to buy another pen *sighs*

I look forward to getting to know everyone!

Welcome... I like seeing Virginians in the FPN.

My first FP was a Lamy Safari, about three years ago. I wonder how many FPN people would say that their first FP in recent years was a Lamy. I bought a Studio (F) some months ago and really like it.

Welcome, Andy! There do seem to be a lot of Virginians in the forum lately, not that I'm complaining! clap1.gif It's good to see other twenty-somethings getting sucked into picking up the hobby.

Welcome Andy. I love Lamy Safari FPs. Nice colors, rugged and extremely reliable.

Welcome to FPN. Changing majors is typical considering most people really have no idea what they really want to do when they get out in the world. It took me 12 years after graduating from high school to find my work passion.
