Hi,

I recently acquired a Visconti Van Gogh Maxi in Musk Green and I've been pronouncing the company name as "Viss-con-ti". Someone then asked me if it was actually "Vy-conti". Then I started thinking that maybe it was really "Vee-con-ti".

Maybe I should start saying it all three ways just to be sure.

Help.

That's the Francotalian pronunciation.

And for something completely different, in British English it would be pronounced "throatwobbler mangrove."

It's a little hard to show correctly in English, so how about borrowing accent marks from French: monn té GRAP pa (Note: all the "a"s are pronounced as in "father", not as in "cat".)

vees-con-tee, the "o" is without a dipthong (no ooo at the end) and is slightly opened toward an "aw" but not that broad.

Susanna,

Thank you so much for the guide -- I loved it. Since you are now famous, may I ask you to please autograph your email to me about the Stipula?
