A black double jewel 4.7" capped 5.7" posted Vacumatic with a lockdown mechanism made in Canada from first quarter of 1936, <br />baring the british patent B318982 of Arthur Olans Dahlberg Prof. of U. of Wisconsin the inventor of the Vac mechanism.<br />The pen also bears a reg number on the clip which according to David I it is something that was meant for the british marker. <br />It is consistent with the fact that it sports a Duofold N nib which is from Newhaven in UK - probably a replacement.<br />See the whole discussion (especially david's remarks <a href="http://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=9230&pid=92578&mode=threaded&start=#entry92578" target="_blank">here</a>)<br />This is a nice pen in very good shape with minor signs of brassing on the clip. There is ambering but there is still enough transparency.<br />It is a very smooth and reliable writer.
