Syd, you're not allowed to play -- this one is entirely too easy for you.

So, everybody except Syd, why is this Skyline somewhat more interesting than others of its color, style, and size?

The clip normally reads "Eversharp"?

Yeah, that would about do it. Too easy. smile.gif Also, although it's not easy to see in the photo, the clip's usual "Double-Checked" imprint is an ordinary letter W on this pen.

Syd has hypothesized that Eversharp made some Skylines like this so they could maintain ownership of the WAHL trademark. This pen has the "unitized" filler, so it's not early early production.

Yeah, way too easy. I've never ever seen a "WAHL" imprinted clip on an Eversharp Skyline. laugh.gif

Is there any chance that "Wahl" branded Skylines were meant for a different market?

Hi! I used to have one jsut like it that went away with my first pen collection. It was a garage sale special purchased in Joplin, MO in 1996 or '97. Thanks, drew49

Maybe the guy who ran the stamping machine took the letters home one day... you know, he put them in his apron and forgot to take them out when he left the factory... then when he washed his apron he left the letters on the counter by the washing machine.

The next day, when he had to get to work stamping clips, he quickly came up with the solution. WAHL.
