G'day,
I am new to this board and I have dipped here to learn and share my pen experiences with like minded people. I am from the generation who grew up with ink on their fingers and I still have ink on my fingers, whenever I have to use pen instead od the keybord. I have few fountain pens in my collection, my favourites are hooded pens - the king is Parker 100, others are clones from China. For me fountain pens are sort of science and passion and I am still learning. I wish you all much of pleasure of using classical fountain pens and will be looking forward to read and post on this board.
Regards,
Denny

Denny,

Welcome to Fountain Pen Network!

By the sound of it, you will be a tremendous asset to FPN. You've undoubtedly got an interesting 'past' (history with/using fountain pens and inks), which will be a source of enlightenment to many resident collectors addicts.

I'm looking forward to reading your future posts, Denny.

Best Regards from Encinitas, CA.

Welcome from Western Canada. There are quite a few people of the Australian persuasion on the board.

I did not experiment much with inks, I use Parker Quink navy blue; so far I did not have problems, until i bought an expensive brand pen unsure.gif . I posted this topic on the Writing Instruments forum. As I said - I have much to learn.

Hi Denny! Which state do you live in? There are many people on this forum from your country!
Denny
Hello playpen,
Victoria is where I live - they call us Mexicans rolleyes.gif . I noticed some Australians on this forum. Australia has become my country for the last 17 years. Everything has changed in my life since - except the pen in my hand - it is still a fountain pen roflmho.gif .

Denny, are you planning to visit the U.S. during a pen show, hopefully the D.C. one? Do you get a chance to travel much? What is your home country?
Denny
Oh, I'd love to see the US, it has been always my dream, but it is out of my reach, unfortunately. I came from the Czech republic (formerly Czechoslovakia). I live in Melbourne now and travel only around the town - throughout Victoria.
