I have a developed an informal relationship with the owner of our local pen shop. He is a very good guy and is just one of those people that is always willing to help, but can be rather inaccurate in the information he gives me. I don't believe he is being dishonest, just incorrect. So when I am interested in a collectors edition he has, I have to confirm the information he is giving me on those items.

Over the years I have purchased lots of pens from him and last evening I was in his store and he made me an offer on two Delta Papillon Celluloid Limited Editions that I am not familiar with and can't seem to find much information on.

As stated above, the pens in question are in celluloid not in resin. One in the green and the other in grey. According to my dealer he told me these were limited in production to 100 each. They both come with the nice boxes (screw down) and all papers.

As I was researching these I found the "Celebration" model (http://www.pens.it/pens.htm?delta/_passion.htm) but do not have the gemstones in the cap tops. The best I can ascertain is that these are the Vermeil Limited Editions, but I cannot find any information on these such as production numbers and original sales price.

Does anyone know the original production numbers and sales price of these? I spent several hours on the net looking for the information, but came up rather dry.

Thanks to all!

So today I called Colorado Pen and FP Hospital to no avail. I am beginning to wonder if these aren't rarer than the Celebrations with the gem stones. Sometimes the less expensive ones actually are rarer in production than the pricier versions and hold their values better.

Any sign of life out there on the production number or MSRP or where I might look to find the information?

Thanks again!

I'm afraid my result would be the same then. You can look at it this way, if you trust the vendor (which is always nice), like the pens and they are within your budget, buy'em.

I did find this on the Joon website. It's a Dolcevita Papillon

Thanks for the responses. Yes, I am familiar with the DV Papillon and love the pen.

These are the ones I am speaking of only without the gemstones and in vermeil.
