I am about to order a Pelikan 600 and I have a choice of nibs a medium or broad. If I want to send it out to have it ground to a medium cursive italic which nib do I order?

Instead of buying the pen and sending it out, have you considered buying from a dealer who can customize the pen for you? The dealers who can do this will be able to ship your pen, already customized, in less than a week.

Absolutely-you are correct. This is a pen bought for me as a gift by a colleague. He asked that I choose which nib so I really have no choice but to do it this way (a bit convoluted I would agree) Yje next customization if I like the first will be done the way you suggest
