Hi,
Quick intro, Name is Steve, Member of HM Forces. I have been interested in Fountain Pens for the past 20 years, I would say, since my school days but it was scratch nib and ink then, which must date me a bit.
I am a Waterman fan and have a number of their models including the Edison, a couple of Man 100's (because I love them), Man 200 and a handful of their rollerballs, biros etc
Mont Blanc 149 which I hate but, cannot part with, a 146 and a Biro
Parkers but, the older ones.
A bucket full of sheafer pens
A couple of Versace Fountain pens
A Yard-o-Led set
ETC ETC
Came across your site by accident and was very interested in the forums. Hope I can plunder your combine expertise and possibly contribute something to the party

Thank you for the welcome, quick display of my ignorance, I tend to use the branded ink for all my pens.

Welcome to the site, have a look at the ink forums for ideas, I used to be an 'if it's a Parker I use Parker ink' person but have broadened my outlook, but still end to be a bit traditional (no Oranges or Browns in my ink collection), mines till tend to be Blue, Black etc but go to different makers now, quite like Diamine inks.
Look forward to seeing some photos of your pens when you get a chance.

Welcome. Good to see service members from around the world on board (former U.S. Army here). I would imagine fountain pens and field duty are a tough mix. Any pen "war" stories?

Hello, Steve -- Welcome to FPN from Encinitas, CA!Wales immediately brings two things to mind:
(1) It was my grandfather's birthplace.
(2) Joe Calzaghe resides there.
I'm a big fan of his and of Ricky Hatton. I've followed pro boxing for over 30 years.
You'll find all sorts of interesting folks out here, who bring with them a literal treasure of resources.
Glad you're aboard, Steve!
Hope to see your posts often.
Best Regards,
-Clive
