Hi,
I have found online two great looking pens reasonably priced: the Pilot Ecrino and the Pilot Lucina.
How do they write compared for example to a Waterman Phileas or a Namiki VP ?
Where can I buy them ?
Thx

Can't tell you where to buy them except on eBay (found my Evrino there). The one I have is in a broad nib, lays down a wet line, very smooth even on the cheap paper we use at work.
Had I known how wet these write, I would have gone for a medium instead, or maybe even a fine.
Don't know about the Lucina.

Thank you,
I am getting more and more interested in japanese foutain pen because of their nibs quality, even on the entry-level.

I ordered Pilot Lucina on eBay. Do you have good experiences with this model?

In fact, my favourite writers are the Platinum entry level pen PGB-3000. It looks beautiful, it feels good in the hand, itīs not expensive and itīs a pure pleasure to write with!
I have one green filled with Noodlerīs Zhivago and a black one filled with Platinum black. (Both have medium nibs.)

Last year, Worldlux.com in the US was selling off Ecrinos at a pretty cheap price. I bought one with a Fine nib. It was an exceptionally smooth XF writer. The pen is nice looking but simple. It is not oversized. I ended up giving it to a student of mine who was searching for a really smooth XF. He loves it and says he uses it way more than his Lamy 2000, which is of course a pen with a broader Fine nib.
