Beautiful blues! Would you mind listing the names of the pens for those of us who aren't familiar with them? Thanks!

Hi, Margana. I'll try to be clear. The big one on the bottom left is a Stipula Etruria d'Inverno. The one on top of the picture is a Bexley Submariner Grande in the same material as the FPN pen. To the right of the Stipula and underneath the Pelikan M405 is a Delta Moresi. To the right of the Delta Moresi is an Aurora Optima in blue auroloid. All the way to the right is a Mercury made by Tibaldi. Resting on top of the Aurora and Mercury is an OMAS Paragon in Blue Royale. Lying beneath/next to the Bexley, and the other pen on which the M405 is resting, is a Tibaldi Impero. And resting on top of the Impero is a Pelikan 1935 Originals of Their Time in lapis. It took me a while to find the focus I wanted my collection to have, but I can't get enough of those blue celluloid pens. Take care,
David

Thanks, David. The OMAS Paragon in Blue Royale and the Pel Originals of Their Time in lapis are my favorites in your group. cloud9.gif

My pleasure, Margana. I love the Pelikan, especially since I had the gold furniture replated. The Paragon is gorgeous as well, and writes like a dream, but the plating has already started to wear off... Best,

Much jealousy...

Thanks, Charlie. We have similar tastes, I think; not all of those pens are inked, but the ones that are are all filled with a blue ink of some sort. Best,
David

I am very envious of your Omas - ah, blue celluloid Omas - gorgeous!

Very beautiful pens! I tried to find them on ebay, but wow! the price is a bit steep for me. I will admit that the most expensive fountain pens I have ever bought were under $25.00 bucks!

Great collection. I'm a fan of blue celluloid as well. My first was a Bexley I got in Santa Fe, NM. My favorite is my Visconti Opera Blue Typhoon. Just got this Romet in NYC; I think it looks fancy/expensive (especially to folks who are used to seeing you with pricey pens), but it was around $60. Couldn't pass it up.

Year or three back the subject of blue pens arose, so i shot a real-space (not my usual digital montage) shot of a chunk of my blue pens fanned nicely.

Might need to hit the expander bar on this one.

Hi, David. I'm not usually one for gold trim, but I have to admit those are very nice. I really, really like that Doric. Are they relatively to come by in good shape? Best,
David

Dorics in that cross hatch (shell?) pattern pose their challenges. Blue (tougher color) tends to be more stable than some of the other colors, which can fluoresce/craze.
