What's the ink capacity of a properly-restored standard-size Eversharp Skyline? Would it hold at least as much as a modern converter? Or does its shape require an unusually small sac?

Thanks. -Arnav

The Skyline does have a smaller ink capacity relative to other lever filling pens since it needs a shorter sac to fit in it's rather unique barrel.

They are an exceptional pen and the quality of the nibs is outstanding, they are also one of the few pens from the middle of the 20th century that can be found with a good number of wonderfully flexible nibs.

In the 40's, when other pen makers were offering most of their pens with fairly rigid nibs, Eversharp and Waterman still offered a great number of flexible nibbed pens that are simply incrdible in their writing qualities.

When I went to order some sacs from The Pen Sac Company in California (no affiliation), I was surprised to see that the vintage Skylines require a tapered sac. Kind of makes sense when you see the barrel

Ink capacity is at least as much as a modern cartridge. And the tapered sacs are available today too.

AND, a standard #16 will fit fine.
