I have nopt used any Caran d'Aches products but browsing this caught my eye and I was wondering if anyone has used it, or if anyone knows how it comares to Private Resrves Shorline Gold?

I've been using the Saffron for about two weeks, it's a bight lighter and more orangy than J.Herbin Orange Indien. I cannot compare it with anything else. It's nice, but expensive for the quantity.

Do a Search... I was looking up Saffron Blue Omas pens yesterday, and I caught heaps of results for that Saffron ink! headsmack.gif

I think Saffron is more of a pure orange-yellow, while Shoreline is a bid 'muddier'... though the PR may be easier to read, unless using a wet nib.

Shelley - the Saffron is very, very bright, nothing like PR Shoreline Gold. Think Halloween bright orange!

Hey Sam!! Are you going to be at the Dallas show? I hope so!! Will you be bringing the Caran d'Ache inks with you ? I'd love to see them in person. Hope you are bringing some more of those Italics, I sure enjoy the Pelikan Epoch I got from you there year before last! I'll be there helping Danny out at his table.

I agree with Sam - it is VERY bright. You need to be in the right mood and have the right paper for it.
