I was wondering, is there anyone out there that will be attending the Michigan Pen show that would be interested in writing an article with news from the floor of the show for Penpedia? Maybe take a few pictures, talk about who's there, what unusual stuff is around, any new things that have popped up, you know, something for us suckers that won't be there.
If you have an interest, PM me with any questions and what not. I'm even happy to take on a couple people, if you write well. Attendee, vendor, whatever, I don't mind who you are or what capacity you'll be there in. All you'll need is an account at our site, and I will set you up with permissions to submit your article when it's ready. Or you can send it to me and have me post it for you. Plenty of options.
Does this interest anyone?

Do we get offical press passes, pens and pads, and those strange fedoras?
Just kibbitzing.

You know, in all seriousness, that is a good question. And in all fairness, this would basically be pro-bono. Good for someone wanting a chance to do some writing and get it out in the world. Once the site has established a better foothold, I do want to be able to offer up something though to make it worthwhile. I know that I simply do not have the time to fly around the country to all the different shows, but I think it's news others in similar positions would be interested in, and if we can get into a routine of bringing some of that to the Penpedia visitors, I think eventually a trickle of a revenue stream should be able to provide some pens or ink or maybe even a little money for such efforts.
But we are new and small right now, so I'm just gonna have to rely on the kindness of strangers!

Free pens and paper will certainly attract some interest, however, I think a fedora is the best incentive - but not a strange fedora!
