I found these in a parts box in a large lot of pens at a flea market.

I cleaned them up; no pens with them.

What are they for? Are they useful? Prices?

Ize a sehaefer newbie.

Without knowing what size they measure I would guess they are #2 and #3 caps. They are early as you can see the pinched looking tabs that attch the clips. All pre 1922 and look clean - I'd say no more than $20 a piece but, it always depends on how bad you need one and if these are cracked at all. Actually I do need a cap for an overlay come to think of it. Send me the dimensions if you'd like.

Hi George, they look to be caps for Sheaffer's early BCHR flat top pens from the late 1910's into the early 1920s.
If they are in good condition, they are definitely worth something.
Judging from your photo, it looks as the clipped caps are for the slimmer pens #2 and #3 size.
Difficult to value without knowing the condition.

nice find and worthy of a good parts drawer. Think i picked up a try of #6 sized pens sans nibs and feeds at Boston last year. Hafta dig 'em up sometime.
