Short version: If anyone has a pair of steel nibs and collars that look like #6 below, I'd like them.
Long version: Several months ago, I purchased a pair of Levenger True Writers (from Antoniosz, for a steal), in which the nib collars had cracked. I thought I could mold something to fit, but I given the threading size (tiny) and multiple steps in sizing, not to mention the tolerances needed, I thought I'd look for replacement nibs.
Levenger was no help at the time, though I see it is now possible to buy replacement nib assemblies directly. During my searches, I discovered Nibs.com, who sell 14K nibs for rather more than a new TW, though I have no doubt they're worth it. From that reference, though, I started looking at pen kits, thinking I could just use the nibs. However, it seems the main suppliers have changed the kit somewhat.
In short, I'm wondering if any turners who've used nicer nibs would have two of the steel assemblies to sell me? The picture below shows the shape and threading of the collar, and is taken from Nibs.com for reference only (it's #6). Width and writing quality aren't important, as I'll probably be reshaping these.
The pens are nicely sized and made of a gorgeous resin, and I'd like to get them into the rotation.
Thanks for any assistance.
