I'm still unpacking and very very busy, so just a quick note regarding some rarer Wahl-Eversharp items at the show.
Number one, for me, was a BCHR Wahl desk pen: all HR, NPT, Grecian Border chasing, with a matching screw-cap with no clip or ringtop fitting.
Never seen before, or catalogued, it would seem to be a desk pen of the sort predating the ones we know with the stand/holder.
The early desk pens were long and tapered and nearly always EDs, and came with caps. Usually very plain and functional, main makers Waterman, Holland, with some known by Swan and Conklin.
Another was a solid Duofold-type orange celluloid Deco Band, brought from Denmark.
Another was a purse pencil, one of a handful known, in black-veined grey-blue pearl (can't recall the original name at the moment).

Among the less rare items, I picked up a nice stainless steel-capped Skyline, and I saw another with the ribbed sterling cap.

Following up on Vintage Pens report. By the way, I am sorry we did not bump into one another at the show, but I was way in the back at table 154) The color of the blue/gray black veined purse pen you saw (probably at Cliff's Table) is Canton Pearl. I think David I. posted a picture of the p&p set here a little while back. He'll probably read this and do it again, and again and... Oops. (he'll appreciate that).

I am not sure which deco band you mean, but in addition to the Orange ("Red") Deco Band pen you may be mentioning in "Coral" (orange pyralin plastic with yellowish flecking) there was a plastic solid orange "RHR" look alike Deco Band, and the Flamingo Deco Band, that were highlights for me.

BTW that Sterling Silver cap Skyline sold for $500 at the show. I have only seen that pen 2 times before. But they were behind "bars" and un-touchable.

Also I picked up a very rare 2nd Generation Doric Gold Seal in Blue Shell (what some folks call lined or web pattern plastic) in the oversized size with long visualated barrel window. I had it out for sale for a while and then, pulled it back for personal. Also picked up 2 Mint in Box with papers Solid Gold Capped Fifth Avenues...Beautiful.

And, as I have a few folks who look to me for pens of all types I was able to fill 2 orders for Brand new Visconti roller balls that were sold at "show prices" of 1/2 off!

I am just now catching up on paperwork, and answering nice emails from folks I chatted with or dined with at the show. I will not miss this show in the future.

Agghhh... cannot get to sleep post call. Ah well, few minutes on the net should help.

My nice Wahl score was not an exotic/uncatalogued/anomalous beast. Still... il ike it. A short fat RCHR military clip pen very very sharp. Pics another day.

The orange deco band cited was a USA-for-export-to-Denmark (or so i hear) non-coral pure "duofold orange" pen. I did get to see it. Seemed free of cracks. Nice nice pen. Was not inexpensive. Sort of like this one (sorry for the older slightly bright picture). The Deco in this shot is Cliff's- not the one from Washington. And, the Equipoised is mine.

Canton Pearl Wahl Equi-Poised Purse pen? didn't see the one at the show, but do have a set in my own collection. If i decide to pare back my Wahl holdings to "ten favorite" or so, this one likely will stay.

gab later. gotta sleep.
