Greetings all,
I have a vintage Staedtler | Mars 700 technical pen in excellent condition, except that I do not have an ink cartridge for this pen. I searched locally at every store I could find and had no luck - they only carried the new Staedtler Technical Pens.
I also search eBay and found a sightly different pen that might use an ink cartridge that I could use with this pen, but that is a shot in the dark.
Does anybody know where I might be able to find a refillable ink cartridge (and the right ink) for tis pen? It was my grandfather's/father's, and now belongs to me - I am guessing it is from the 60's but I am not sure.

Check this place -
http://www.westerntechnical.com/acatalog/M...hnical_Pen.htmlThey talk about the Mars Matic #700 - they might have supplies for it as well. I know nothing else about the place.

Another possibility, while you're hunting for the proper "permanent" cartridge: Staedtler sells their Marsmatic 745 india ink in disposable cartridges, p/n 745 R00. E.g.:
Mars Drawing InksThat would give you five refillable cartridges, and the ones I have seem like they're good enough quality to be reused.

hi Ox4dboy,
Welcome to FPN.
From your posting name you might not live too far from me or else you live in one of the many Oxfords around the globe, if it is Oxford UK you can pick a suitable cartridge up from me, I have various technical pens and spares, drop me a line by PM and even if you are not local I can sort something out for you.
Cheers, John

I apologize for reviving a thread over a year old, but since the above link still sends traffic to that page, I thought it might help people to know that
the review has since moved.
