Hi,
I bought myself a nice gold plated Parker Arrow from the 1980’s. There was still blue ink in the pen, but I’m soaking and flushing it thoroughly. But can I safely lay the barrel and cap in water to clean it; does this damage the gold? Can I buy something to polish the pen a bit, or are there cheaper ways to let the pen shine even more? The pen has an aereometric converter; will repeatedly filling and emptying the converter suffice?
I intend to review this pen shortly.
Thank you all….

Questions in order:
1. Yes
2. No
3. Yes. Fabulustre polishing cloth if no severe scratches. If you want to polish out the scratches, then a MicroMesh hobby kit.
4. yes. After the converter is clean, use it to draw clean water through the nib and expel. Repeat until water runs clear.
Enjoy the pen!
