My new favorite hobby is turning wooden pens on a lathe. My friend and I started playing around with our lathe and found out that we're pretty good at making some really neat wooden pens. Then we started showing them to people and they wanted to start buying them!
We were at a wresting match "showing off" our pens and my teacher's husband bought 50 ballpoint black walnut wood with titanium gold hardware pens for $60 a piece! :-D
That's given us some money to spurge and invest in some more expensive pen kits. I want to invite you guys to take a look.
This is my latest creation. Creating this pen takes about 4-5 hours and buying the pieces are really expensive. I am reluctantly trying to sell these pens on Ebay. I say reluctantly because college doesn't pay for itself!
