Pens at pen shows are not necessarily expensive or overpriced, the majority of dealers have reasonable prices, ready to be filled working pens and most important of all, a selection of pens that just might put you into sensory overload! If you can't find what you want there, then I think you might be a candidate for searching in the wild!
The wild still holds many, many treasures if you know where to look, how to look and keep looking!
Most of the pens for sale in this post are from a box of pens I bought at a garage sale recently, one of which was a Waterman 554 14K Gold Filigree FP (and already sold to someone!)! YOWZA! This box had approx. 5-layers & the last two contained a number excellent pens that I was able to clean up & now offer to you at fair & reasonable prices! And Away We Go...

1) WEIDLICH O/S Flat-Top style FP in Orange Plastic w/GF Trim (~5-1/4"L), 14K-#4 Fine "Weidlich & Simpson" nib, lever fill, pen never filled with ink, only dipped by me to test point, received in a trade years ago with several other "unused" models (from a collector I'd known for years!), no visible flaws, just the usual NOS shop-wear you'd expect to find, overall condition is "Near Mint"...PenEmporium Price $150.00/Reduced to $140.00!
2) CHAS. H. INGERSOLL/FAICHNEY Custom-Made FP in Woodgrain Plastic w/GF Lever & NP Clip (~5-5/8"L), 14K-#6 Fine Semi-Flex Eisenstadt nib (L-Square design on the face, St. Louis made) with what appears to be custom-cut slits at the base of nib on each side (something to do with fitting it to the feed or aeration?...wonderful writer no matter what the reason!), lever fill even though Ingersolls are normally "twist-fillers," Nickel-Plated clip imprinted Faichney (not familiar with this name, cap-top has Ingersoll Newark/Guaranteed imprint, no visible flaws except for minor on cap & barrel. overall condition on this unusual FP is "Excellent"...PenEmporium Price $105.00/Reduced to $95.00!
3) ((SOLD TO T.R.)) PARKER Duofold "Streamline" Big-Red FP in Orange Permanite w/GF Trim (~5-3/16"L), 14K Fine "Arrow" Style nib (a little toothy, some drag & a few pin-point marks on it), comb feed, button filler, cap-top & blind-cap both a little faded & with a few "use" marks on them, imprint has some wear but still quite visible & has the letters X,H & D etched in the plastic after U.S.A., minor brassing on clip ring & cap bands, usual wear on cap & barrel but no major dings, dents or scratches, overall condition is "Very Good"... 4) ((SOLD TO S.P.)) PARKER Duofold "Streamline" Big-Red FP in Orange Permanite w/GF Trim (~5-3/16"L), 14K XF/Needlepoint "Arrow" Style nib (verrrry XF, great for those who love ultra-fine lines!), comb feed, button filler, cap-top & blind-cap still fairly Black, minor wear on imprint, minimal brassing on clip-ball & on cap-bands, very minimal wear & tear on cap & barrel, overall condition is "Very Good +"...PenEmporium Price $100.00!
5) ((SOLD TO J.J.)) PARKER Duofold "Flat-Top" Black & Pearl Permanite FP w/GF Trim (~5-1/2"L), 14K XF/F (writes between XF & F) "Duofold Deluxe" nib, comb feed, button filler, good color & pattern with minor ambering on cap and completely ambered but even on barrel, cap-top & blind-cap worn but in good condition w/some fading, minor brassing on clip & bottom cap-band, barrel imprint has minor wear but still quite visible, nib has short arc-shaped indentation going thru the words "Deluxe & Made In..." but doesn't go thru to underside of nib (done at factory?), overall condition is "Very Good"...PenEmporium Price $125.00!
6) ((SOLD TO S.M.)) PARKER Duofold "Flat-Top" Jade Permanite FP w/GF Trim (~5-1/2"L), 14K Fine-Flex "Arrow" style nib, comb feed, button filler, cap color good with more green swirls than the usual white swirl/flecking, barrel has darkened but evenly and has beautiful green swirl pattern, cap-top & blind-cap worn but in good shape with some fading, barrel imprint still strong, some minor brassing on lower cap-band, overall condition is "Very Good"... PenEmporium Price $110.00!
7) ((SOLD TO P.A.C.)) PARKER Duofold "Flat-Top" RHR (Red Hard Rubber!) w/GF Trim (5-9/16"L), 14K XF Lucky Curve nib with good flow (nib adjustment tool marks on tines near tip), Xmas Tree feed, several short scratch marks in grip section, button filler, medium large barrel imprint with some wear but still quite visible, cap-top & blind-cap have minor wear but in good condition, minor brassing on clip-ball & on cap-band, cap & barrel finish in great condition (no major scratches, scuffs, dings or dents), overall condition is "Excellent -"...PenEmporium Price $175.00!
