Never figured out why they called a lacquer finish pen a 'laque' instead of a lacque'. Oh well.

In any case I recently picked up a bit of an oddball - a midnight blue laque (argh! Goes against the grain to type that!).

Has any further information come to light on these beyond what is posted there - that they were prototypes or maybe test market pens?
