Full Version: Feather Touch 5 Nib Question

The pen I'm listing in the marketplace has the above Feather Touch 5 nib. I would characterize it as a fine, but I"m curious if the numbering system implies the width of the line...at least according to Sheaffer.

Any info to share?

Thanks in advance.

The number 5 is the nib size i.e. how big the nib is, not the line width. Sheaffer marked some of the snorkel nibs with a nib size, but not most others.

A #5 feather touch was found on the non-lifetime nibs, and usually is quite the nice nib.

Ron / All -

So do I understand that a number 5 could be fine, medium, broad, etc? If so, what version(s) was the #5 made in? Is this particular nib flexible to any degree?

Thanks
