Are there some caps out there that do not have 51 stamped on them? Mine doesn't, but I have another one that does.

After 1954 or there-abouts, the cap will be marked "Parker" under the point of the arrow and "made in USA" on the other side, no "51".
None of mine have "51" on the cap anywhere. Always marked on the sac protector on Aerometrics and on the barrel of Vacumatics though.
