Full Version: Polish scratches out of onyx base?

I have one of the green onyx bases with figurine, but the stone has a couple of significant scratches. Anyone have any experience in removing scratches? Because of the flatness of the stone, it would be best to polish the top down flat, but this may be too much to do by hand. Anyone have any experience with this kind of repair?
Thanks.

My suggestion is to check with a good headstone manufacturer, if anyone can deal with polishing stone they would be the ones.

That's a better link. Don't know where you live. but check with the better Janitorial and cleaning Supply distributors in town. Most have the products in stcok and they may even let you have a sample.
Don't use anything that is alkaline or acidic on the marble/onyx or stone.
