Well, it has been about 7 months since I/we started the Wahl Eversharp Forum here on FPN, and thought we should take a moment to reflect.

We have had 199 new topics posted.clap1.gif

We have received 985 posts in the W-E Forum roflmho.gif

We have had posts on all 19 of the pens listed in the original preference poll clap1.gif

We have had zero flame wars, and from what I see not even so much as one "pointed" disagreement cloud9.gif

THANKS TO YOU ALL, I HAVE NOT HAD TO PARK, SUSPEND, CAUTION, OR EDIT ANYONE'S POST (From what I hear that is something special in itself. thumbup.gif

So, who wants to be the person to push us over the top with topic number 200? blush.gif

Ummm, er, uh, too late. Looks like I just did that. Darn! headsmack.gif

So thanks you guys for making my job a lot easier! rolleyes.gif

I have a question... the small goldfilled ringtops.
How hard to replace the shatter sac?
Could this be done by a total hack-newbie with no thumbs?

I think so. I used to do it with one thumb! It is very straight forward. Just remember to remove the section as though you were unscrewing it (counter clockwise) as over the years the inside threads of the barrel cap screw-on threads have pressed into the BHR and caused the section to need to be unscrewed. Do apply about 140-50 degrees heat to the barrel threads to help make the section removal easier. After that it is a normal sac removal and repalce item. The nib and feed a normal knock out type. You need a small hooked wire or dental tool to fish out the old sac or sac biths and pieces.

Good luck.

Im may move your question and my reply to a new post that will be seen by more folks and as a repair post as that is more what it is.

Thanks for your post.
