I am trying to get an Idea as to the value of this pen - so I can decide if I should let it go, or spend money on the nib with a nib meister. It writes a nice bold line. I am not too sure if this is a stub or an oblique. If someone knows that would also be appreciated.

i think the nib is a stub. As for the price, i think you can probably get around 120-150$ for it. hope it helps nikolaos

I don't think MB makes a stub. It's probably a BB.
You can scan the auctions on eBay and get an idea of what 144s are going for these days.

Yes. That's about what I recently paid for my late '80s bordeaux 144. When it's in my desk, it's one of my favorite pens. When it's in my hand, it is my favorite pen.
