I love fountain pens and am glad to have found this site. My collection consists of Lamy, Parker, Waterman, Pelikan, and Omas pens. I find writing with fountain pens to be very relaxing.

Because of my fondness for fountain pens, I am also interested in different types of writing paper.

PTLaw,

Welcome aboard! Based on your intro, you're no newbie. Your expertise will be welcomed. You mentioned many brands - what models?

Looking forward to seeing you around the boards,

Hello PTlaw: biggrin.gif

Welcome to the little Fountain Pen Nuthouse on the Web. I too love Pelikan and Waterman pens, more so the former of the two. <_<

I am also searching for a good source of paper to use and may give Sam at Pendemonium a call and order some Clairefontaine stationery. From what I hear, this is the most fountain pen friendly paper your money can buy.

I am sure as you become more addicted, you will probably want to try various kinds of inks, and there is a special place here where you can read reviews on them here in the forums. IMHO one bottle of ink is never enough! biggrin.gif

Hi PTLaw,

Welcome! biggrin.gif What's the derivation of that name? Always curious about "handles" that people choose for themselves.

Here's my wager...if you are on this board for three months and haven't amassed at least 5 bottles of ink and several different papers, then we're not being effective as addiction facilitators, or you're not paying attention. laugh.gif This, of course, is quite apart from the pens that you will acquire and lust for. ohmy.gif

Enjoy!

Thanks for the greetings! biggrin.gif I think this board is the place to be if you are interested in fountain pens.

The pens I have are not too fancy, like the Waterman Phileas (and Kultur). I have a Parker 51, a couple of 45s, and a Sonnet. I also have a couple of Sheaffer Preludes. My current favorite is a Waterman Kultur demonstrator that I found on eBay.

There is a beautiful watermarked paper I bought several years ago that I have been trying to find again (I don't remember the name of the place where I ordered it). sad.gif It is made by Elco and has a beautiful watermark of the Swiss Alps across the bottom of each sheet. I know there has to be more than one US distributor of this paper, but I haven't been able to find it in any of my local stores. [I'm in Nashville, TN.]

When I was registering on the board, I couldn't think of good name that sounded "pen-related", so I used the name I use on my blog (PTLaw). I am a part-time law student. The "PT" actually comes from my initials, not "part-time" and the "law" is a reference to being a law student.

This board is cool! /:)

Hello and welcome. There's a forum around here to talk about paper and a place to put ink to paper as well. Along with the usual talk about fountian pens.

Welcome again,
