Dear Pen Lovers from across the pond,

My wife Danuta and I, Janusz have only recently taken up pen collecting.
Our interests are Conklins, Waterman, Pelikan and Montblanc.
We are always on the look out for something unusual or rare especially in old Pelikans but they must be original and excellent ++ condition.
During weekends we enjoy sailing around the British Isles otherwise it is travel, reading and now learning to bring old forgotten pens back to life!
Best wishes from Essex,
Janusz & Danuta

Welcome, Janusz. I grew up in Essex, in Rayleigh if you know it. With the number of people around here like you and me learning to fix pens, maybe we should set up a little local group.

Hi Ray, My wife used to work in Hockley as a dentist.
It would be a good idea about forming a group.
I must go out but chat another time.
Where are you based?
take care,
Janusz

Hertfordshire. I remember riding my bike through Hockley.

welcome to FPN...

I've been very pleased to see the growing diversity of FPN. Europe, US, Asia, and of course, Canadaaaaaaaahh..

hope you enjoy our little group. fun place to hang out and talk pens. Had I the budget, vintage Pelikans would probably fill my pen cases. Along with some of Chris Burton's Binde handiwork. Phenomenal stuff.

anyway - welcome and look forward to reading more from you. A list of your acquisitions would be fun to see in the Fountain Pen Forum.

Hi Janusz,

Welcome aboard to yet another European member (sheesh - aren't there any Americans around here any more? wink.gif - just kidding guys). Glad to have you and I look forward to getting to know you around the boards.

PS I know the shots are coming for the above comment, so fire away!

Hello Janusz and welcome to the Fountain Pen Nuthouse! I love vintage Pelikans as well, but I also love the modern ones, as they are about the best I have ever purchased.

Now if we can just persuade the powers that be to give us a "Pelikan Forum," I think we will all be very happy! wink.gif

Well, there was talk about creating one a couple of months ago, but I think we just needed a committed moderator and no one volunteered smile.gif
I am a big Pelikan fan (modern & vintage) but since I started my new job, my online availability has diminished to a large degree....Anyone else interested?

Oh...I almost forgot blush.gif

Welcome to FPN, Janusz & Danuta! biggrin.gif

Hello and welcome to the completely sane wink.gif world of fountain pens, Janusz and Danuta! Very cool.gif to find both husband and wife having equal interest in fountain pens. Hope it works out! laugh.gif

When I am back in England again for a decent holiday and if you need an enthusiastic (but with not enough experience) crew member for your cruises, let me know!

In the meantime, I look forward to seeing you around the boards. Welcome again!
