My brains are a little fried still from the weekend, however courtesy a borrowed Nikon D80 I managed to document the show. Apologies to Heinz and Russell of Note Bene, Sean did not send over all the jpgs

Peter and daughter, custom turned pens made of wood.

Lorne, collector and sometime dealer.

Terry, local collector

Boutique De Stylo

Sean Gosse, SMG Pens

Akil and Murtaza, Co-owners of B Sleuth and Statesman, local pen store in downtown Toronto

Laywines, another Toronto Pen Retailer.

Pearce Jarvis, local collector.

Kim and Aaron of Pentiques

Lih Tah Wong and Eric Fonville with Harold Rosenberg of Conklin Pens in the background.

More photos to come when they become available.

The hubby and I had SO. MUCH. FUN.
He bought a Parker 75! You know what that means - we have ourselves a convert!! clap1.gif

Bill, I love my new flexy Duofold, worth every penny, it's a most charming pen smile.gif
Thank you for posting the photos, and thanks to Sean for sending over the JPGs.

Bill,

I am so disappointed that I was unable to make the show for family reasons. In any event, I look forward to more pics. Congratulations to you and everyone involved for putting on what I am sure was a great show!

Sorry for the omission, I will ensure that the remainder of the images are sent over tonight. Oops. embarrassed_smile.gif

Had a great time, made some good friends and did some neat repairs.

Looking forward to next year.

Cheers,
Sean

I think your hubby might get it worse than you. He picked up a nice 75 in really nice shape.
I am happy my Duofold found the right home.

Thanks Bill, for putting on such a great event! It was my first show, and it was a great introduction -- not too big, but with plenty to see.

I walked away with a beautiful medium-nibbed green-stripe Pelikan M600 and a stunning medium-nibbed Danitrio Cum Laude in tortoise/brown. I also picked up a couple of bottles of ink (PR Black Magic Blue and PR Purple Mojo) and some note pads.

I also had some very nice conversations with Bill, Sean, Lorne, knitbug and her husband. I enjoyed putting some faces to names from the FPN. It was just great to be around so much pen-enthusiasm (not too much of that here in Buffalo, unfortunately). I can't wait to save up some cash so I can get to one of the larger shows. I'll be back in Toronto next year, though!

It was nice to meet you Don at the show and I am happy you had a good time.

I am setting up the Greater Toronto Pen Club and its pretty much open to anyone in driving distance or passing through Greater Toronto.

Last two. Again my apologies to Heinz and Gabor, I missed you guys when I was holding Sean's D80.

Great pictures Bill! I hope everyone in attendance had a blast.

I have some exterior shots in black and white, I just have to finish off the roll of film it's on in my trusty Olympus OM-1. Digital is not my primary photographic medium.

Just wanted to publicly thank you and Shari for having us! Kim would especially like to thank you for being our personal GPS, “just keep following the VW!” I would like to encourage everyone to make the trip next year. This year Toronto was a small show in comparison, with huge potential! Bill and Shari have big plans for 2008!

The only caveats; 1) don’t park under the Boysenberry Tree 2) don’t let Pearce suggest alternate accommodations (just kidding Pearce)

Thanks again for making us welcome. Save us a wall table with electric for 2008…

One last shot of the Stables from the outside, a pretty if challenging venue. Taken with my Olympus OM-1 with a 28 f3.5 Zuiko lens with Ilford HP5 400 ISO film processed at home with HC110 developer.

Thank you Aaron and Kim for coming up, don't worry, we are going to get a wall outlet reserved just for you guys. Next year is going to be a really good year and we are not going back to Casa Loma (unless you want to take pictures).
