embarrassed_smile.gif Before hand I know this will generate a real quest.
I bought recently in e-Bay a Lifetime open nib Sheaffer snorkel. You would see the nib and would fall in love with it.
When the pen arrived and I dissassemble it tyo start assessing restortation, I discovered that the spring was missing and that the pensac guerd was missing the spring shelf, the small ring around the guard where the spring rests.
Here comes the question... Does any body knows a source for the two missing parts, the spring and the sac guard? Is it cannibalizing other pen the only possible source. Any hints or information will help.
Thanks in advance sincerely,
pensiful

Not sure this helps... but I posted a similar question regarding a supplier for snorkel springs about 3 or 4 months ago. Unfortunately, the best we could come up with was getting a junker for parts or as you put it cannibalizing another pen ninja.gif

Maybe something has changed and someone has found a supply. Guess we will see smile.gif

Nope.

I buy snorkels and strip them down so that I have the parts necessary to fix other peoples snorkels. The NOS parts stashes are few and far between.

You might look for junker snorkel desk pens--often they are less expensive than the "regular" pens and will likely have the parts you need. Be sure to check first---unscrew and look!

I have had luck in this odd parts department by posting a WTB (want to buy) ad in the marketplace. I purchased a snorkel assembly (the whole shebang, also spring, also tube - all at different times). Plz do note the items are not at throw away prices. Good luck

happyberet.gif Thank you all for your replies, after which I can see the answer clearly.
The suggestion to look at desk pens and badrsj's suggestion present very practical paths to the solution.
I feel so happy to find relief from you all
Thank you very much.
