Hi Andy, it's the 5th from right in your pic, MYU 701, the standard steel original short long or would it be long short (whn posted). Looks and writes OK. it's as said in used condition.

BTW great collection of all murex's (or would that be muri ;-) Did you amass them in one go or over time ?

The prices of the red and stripes skyrocketing. I remember when Nathan Tardiff was selling them for 1/2 and less of what they are now. Good pens, but can be problematic if leaks develop. nib is irreplaceable etc but it is really aerodynamic looking and probably even nicer than the T! it copied. Came out a year later.

I believe they are still to be found in the wild in Japanese pen stores.

One dealer here who had a lot of them in the 70's has realized what he has on his hand and from 100 a few years ago is now asking 300-400!

The interesting thing is that more sellers from Japan are starting to jump over to FleaBay from Yahoo Japan, because they see the amazing prices they can fetch. All they have to do is surpass the language barrier. Whereas before there were pretty much two commonly found Japanese sellers there are now 3 plus a 4th one that seems to have settled in with good feedback. And then of course you have your usual suspect Thai seller that pawns off a Murex here and there.
