Can anyone tell me the best way to remove:

1) Jewel from the top of the cap (clip is completely loose and I want to clean under it and make clip fit tighter). Do I have to access it from inside cap ? Does it require a small washer ?

2) The nib and feed. Does it screw ?

Vac date is '5' (1945?). It has a plastic plunger.

I've looked at many, many websites but can't get this info

Any help appreciated

For the jewel, check out: http://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/in...showtopic=36434

The nib/feed doesn't screw. They should be driven out from the rear of the section. A search of the Repair Q&A section should yield some more detailed info.

Good luck!

you have to remove the section and that indeed unscrews. Then you drive out the feed/nib using a special tool avalible at most pen products stores online. (woodbin, giovanni abrate, etc)
