I just got my MB Edgar Allan Poe. It is a beautiful pen, with a deep blue marble finish. It is the one writer's series pen I had wanted most since my Verne.
But....
Now that I have it, it keeps reminding me of my blue Waterman Phileas. I mean, it's not like they're identical or anything, but from a distance there is some similarity in the coloration with gold trim. Up close, you can clearly tell the difference in the finishes. However, the color of the Poe is what I had liked most about it when I first saw pictures of it. Now that uniqueness is slightly blunted.
Don't get me wrong, I still love the pen. It is still beautiful, and I like the raven on the nib. But the one factor that had caught my eye the most--the blue marble finish--is just a little less special.
