The Noble Savage
Greetings,

I have created this topic for those of you who would like to request specific pen reviews from FPN members. Basically, this is how it is going to work, you can request a review for a specific pen model or manufacturer here. All you need to do is reply to this topic and hopefully one of you can post a pen review in the area where we normally post reviews. Periodically I will purge out the requests that have been fulfilled, this will save space and make this area less cluttered and easy to find.

I hope that this will make your requests for specific pen reviews easier to fulfill.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email or PM me. If you PM me, chances are that you will get a reply rather quickly.

Please enjoy and Thanks for your support!!!

I would like to see a review of the Jean Pierre Lepine Winston and or Indigo.
Thniking about getting one but can't find it locally. So a review will be as close as I get to touching one before purchase.

I'd like to see a review of the Parker Aztec fountain pen. Does anyone have one they'd like to review?

TNS, where have you been hanging out? It's be a while since I've seen you in the chatrooms or anywhere else.

reviews of vintage pens would be nice. some flex or semi-flex models...

As kind of a general request, I would like to see any detailed reviews of some of the outrageous pens we see here from time to time. For instance, if anyone has a LePine Graphyscaf I would like to know how well it actually writes, and the level of detail and trim, nib characteristics, etc. The outrageous category includes the outrageously expensive, and the outrageously designed: fur covered pens, and the one that looks like ants crawling on a stick and the one with naked robots etc. Maybe these pens are great writers, but only a few among us would actually know that -- why not share that info with the rest of us?

I would love to see the following reviewed: -

Pelikan P1 - Yes I know I have one, but this is one of those pens that I don't consider myself expert enough to review!

Sailor 1911 Large Yellow - I think that they made one!

Pelikan 415

The important thing for me is seeing the pictures as well. I know some of the people here turn out stunning pictures (The Noble Savage being a good example), but better my standard than no picture at all!!

Someone out there's gotta have some vintage Conklins that they could share some information about...

Hi

I was always interested about the alfred dunhill ad2000 in steel so a review would be nice because I plan to purchase this pen in the future. For vintage pens, I am interested in a parker vacumatic maxima and a soennecken 222 pen reviews.
Thanks for the help

best regards

On the pictures front, if you come across a pen review without pictures and you have the same pen why not add a picture I know that some do, but many reviews don't have pictures for relatively common pens.

I would love to see another review of the Pelikan M-215. There seems to be a paucity of detailed, large photographs of several of Pelikan's products (still searching the web for photos and reviews of this model with little luck)...

I would like to see a review of the Montblanc Mozart fountain pen. Thank you.

Dunhill Sidecar, I want to buy this pen buy I need to know more about it. I will be very happy. Thanks.

Review on Sailor King of Pen ( KOP) Ebonite pl. A comparative view vis a vis Dani ebonite or any such monster will do good.
Thank you in anticipation.

PILOT ECRINO.
Anything about that pen.
Thank you.

Now that a KOP review has been written, in modern pens, I would like very much to read reviews of Namiki Yukari Royale and Emperor.

Does anyone know the Waterford Kilbarry? Please review this lovely pen on my wish list.

OK, how about a review of the Montblanc Agatha Christie from 1993? There are a ton out there (30,000) so surely someone must have one to write about.

Can anyone tell me about the Classic Pens LB1 Sailor Naginata Togi -- limited edition? They were sold around 2003. Where might I find one, and if one was being sold today, around how much would one cost?

Greetings,
I am a new member and would love some feedback on two pens that I am very interested in. One is the Danitrio Mikado and the other is the Grayson Tighe Steel crystal, or any other Tighe pen would do as well I suppose as it seems as all of his pens employ the same nibs and so forth.
Thank you,
Oberon
Ink Freak
I know that it is not the most expensive nor exquisite of FPs, but I would like to see a review of the Sensa Meridian. I may wander from it in rotating my pens periodically, but I always return w/ renewed respect and a pleasant plasmium-filled feeling!

Hello everyone

I just became a member of this exciting site. I need some advice from anyone who can help me. I am a student, and currently looking for a new fountain pen for everyday use. Also I have a (may be quite unusual) choice about pens. Since I have little palm size, I prefer little longer pens. I mean my preferred range is 5 3/4" to 6 1/2" when the cap is posted blush.gif . So I am sending a list below where I narrowed down my choice. I'll be glad if anyone can give me any ideas about these pens- like quality of the material nib, how does it write, etc. Although I narrowed down to this list, but I am open to any suggestion. So please feel free to give me any idea that you want to share-

1. Waterman Phileas
2. Waterman Expert
3. Parker Frontier
4. Monteverde Paloma
5. Monteverde Invincia

I would appreciate any suggestion from you. Thanks. biggrin.gif

Myu (Murex) 701

I know that they are out there, I have seen the pictures!

Volex too if possible.

Gary (MYU) and I had great dreams of a splendid joint-venture review on the MYU 701! But, it's a hard pen to review IMO... especially if you want to be thorough and introduce the Parker T1 and Falcon, as well as discuss the Murex series.

I have a draft written, but it's just a draft that covers the 701 itself - none of the history surrounding it. Gary may have something more substantial...?

I would love to see reviews of Danitrio, Montegrappa, Cartier, Caran d'Ache, Nettuno, Ancora, Hero, Krone, Marlen -- all the brands that don't get as much attention as Montblanc, Pelikan, Omas, Aurora, Waterman, Parker, Sheaffer, Dupont, Delta, Visconti, Sailor, Namiki, Bexley, etc. I'd also like to see reviews of Andy Lambrou's Classic Pens, Michel Perchin, David Oscarson, Lominchay, and other very high end pens.

Just wondering if anyone has used an Aurora Mare? I've just ordered one. Any info would be appreciated.

I have one, and I love it. The design is basically that of the Aurora Optima, but they use a nicer grade resin in the barrell and cap, and adjust one or two other design details. The result is the most beautiful blue pen ever made. As for performance... it performs like an Optima, which means it is very reliable. Despite the small size of the pen, the piston filler holds a bunch of ink, and the ink window lets you check easily to see how much ink remains. The nib is great. If you like the pen, get the Primavera in green to go with it. The third pen, the Sole in yellow, was manufactured in much smaller quantities and has the high price of a true collectors item, so I'll never own one of those.

How about a non-fountain pen (i.e. rollerballs, ballpoints, etc.) review forum? I know, I know, it's the FPN. But, where else would people go to get reviews on pens? Try Googling "pen review" and it points you here.

I would love to see a review of any of the Jaguar Concept Collection fountain pens that are featured on fountainpenhospital.com

I am thinking of buying one and am curious as to how well they write.

PILOT ECRINO.
Anything about that pen.
Thank you.

I have 4 Pilot Ecrinos -- they're great pens. They were on sale (and still may be on sale) at WorldLux for under $40. After the Pilot 78G, I consider the Ecrino a very close second in the "most bang for your buck" category of pens. Hope that helps.

Do not laugh! All right then laugh. There is currently running on Television a 72-piece "Classic Pen Set" that features a good looking fountain pen (with an Iridium nib made in Germany). The whole set is $19.95 and probably comes from you know where.

I hope most of you realize that a good writing pen need not cost a lot (for example the Pilot VPen/Varsity). On the other hand this may be the very bottom of the list pen (set) one can buy if one should stoop to that level.

Anyway, I was hoping someone would review the fountain pen in the set and let us know what we are dealing with here. I am not even an amateur yet but an apprentice amateur so my 1¢ does not count for much.

The set can be seen here - http://209.85.207.104/search?q=cache:lNU4X...;cd=7&gl=us

This site has a good video demonstrating the fountain pen.

Thank you for the assistance.

These are also for sale at Winn-Dixie in Delray Beach, Florida.
