It's been months since I last filled it up, and while a number of my other inked pens have dried up during this time, the M200 always writes on first try, even after two weeks go by without me touching it. I have never had another pen like this.
Great, isn't it? My M200s are like that, too. The only other pen I own that does the same thing is a Montblanc Chopin.

My 200 and 140 both hold out as well. The only other pens I can rely on for this are Sheaffer balance vacume-fillers.

I love my M200 too. I am thinking of getting a couple more.
Very efficient and practical pen.
I always wonder. what if I have only one pen and it is a Pelikan M200 and I would use it day in and day out. How long would it last? 20 years? 30 years?
Someone should try that, some time.

My M200 is in dire need of the "Binder touch" to make it's nib work better. After a week of inactivity, I have to wet the nib or washout the pen completely. However, my M800 has gone for months of inactivity and writes with a little effort. My Waterman pens would never do this. IMHO Pelikan makes well engineered fine writing instruments that are superior to many other modern manufacturers.

Your comments make me more determined to get a Pel M200

For a long period,I don't know which to choose ,M200 or Sonnet Black Matte.
I suppose it will be more excellent than my Kultur :bunny1:
