Hello,
I am a student and I purchased this pen for one of my professors who really helped me out in the admissions process and in letting me shadow him for over a year. I bought this after the admission process of course and would like to give it to him as a gift. I bought it off eBay on the assumption that this was genuine. I received it and it looks pretty good. The box and everything looks brand new and the packaging is spectacular.
The thing is, the pen is a little light and I would expect a pen of this caliber to have some weight to it. I definitely want to give him an authentic pen. Its rather hard to take macro pics with the lens I am using. Please let me know if better, closer pictures are required.
Here are some pictures:

I have a Montblanc Meisterstuck ballpoint pen that looks EXACTLY like that. It was a gift to my father. He never used it, so he gave it to me. And I bought the MB Meisterstuck 145 fountain pen to make it a...'set', so to speak.
As far as I can tell, after comparing your photos with the pen in my hands (which looks exactly the same, and is genuine),...that's a real MB that you have there.
On a side-note -
In my experience, Montblanc pens, be they ballpoint or fountain, are naturally rather light to the hold. I think it's because of the materials used to make them. So I wouldn't worry about the weight.

The pen looks genuine. The reason it doesn't have 'weight' is simply because it's the smaller type 'classique' ballpoint, not the 'le grand'. The latter is quite a hefty pen.

That's authentic...I have at least five of them so I know exactly how it looks like. By the pictures you showed, it is definitely authentic.!!!
How much did you get it for?

The pen, box, and papers look all real to me. I'm not sure if it applies, but if you see a trademark on the underside of the pocket clip called "Pix," it's a sign that it is authentic.

"Pix" marked on the underside of the clip is also only found on some post-1991 (or so) MB's.
