Full Version: F. Scott Fitgerald BP

I hope that it is appropriate to call attention to an item I have placed in The Marketplace which has not garnered much attention
I have mint++ Montblanc F. Scott Fitzgerald BP (#08087/16500) with original box (originally set of FP, BP, pencil), certificate, and outer box, which I would like to sell. I am asking for best offer over $400. I would trade for a comparable old style Omas Arco brown Paragon BP with gold trim. I want to compliment my Omas Arco old style FP.
If anyone here has an interest in the pen, or could give me any feedback on why it has not generated more interest, I would appreciate it. I did sell my FP without too much trouble; I tried to sell the two together.
Thanks, John

Can't answer for everyone. I can give you my opinion, though.

For the most part, this website is for people that like FPs. BPs are not going to attract as much interest here. You may have better luck with a place with a wider audience, such as eBay, that doesn't cater only to FP fans.

Kenny,Thanks for your feedback. I think you are correct. I am hoping that some collectors of special edition MB's might like to add or complete a set. I know I would (did). I agree the favored pen is the fountain pen, which I sold several weeks ago on our Marketplace forum. My friend originally bought the set of four because he could only get the pencil that way. He already had the BP. He prefered a ball pen and pencil, so sold me the FP and BP. I generally prefer a FP and BP. At work I use a BP because I have to write on 2 and 3 part invoices (not with this MB, however). I seldom use a pencil and do not favor RB. As a collector, I would like the complete set of any special editions. But, generally, I'm a user.
Thanks again for your opinion. In the future, my postings will generally pertain to FP's.
