I got a carmine red (roseglow) striated LF Craftsman in the mail today with a translucent screw-in section that matched the color and pattern of the rest of the pen. All the rest of my Craftsmans (Craftsmen ?) of that era: ones with wire thin cap rings and 33 nibs, have black sections. It seems to me that I remember reading what the general significance of the matched section was, but be damned if I can find it. Can someone illuminate my benightedness?
