I have been told that a Sailor medium is like a European fine nib. Is that true?

Thanks

Yes, Japanese nibs tend to run finer than European or American nibs.

I've been considering a Sailor professional gear in rhodium lately. I would probably choose a bold nib. According to the table at this link, a Sailor broad is actually smaller than a Pelikan medium.

That has been my experience. A Sailor medium is much like a Pelikan or Bexley fine; a Sailor broad is much like a Pelikan or Bexley medium.

Just keep in mind that they're very wet, which on some papers will make it appear broader (yes, mild feathering!).

I would say that a Sailor M nib is somewhere between a Western F and M nib in width. So, slightly wider than a fine, but finer than a medium. On the other hand, a Sailor Togi M nib is somewhere between a Western M nib and a B nib!
