Full Version: Buying Dukes from the US

I have been reading up on the Duke range of pens using the reviews here. I have also been looking around the I Sell Pens site and I have to say that the prices are keen compared to elsewhere. So the question is, is it worth buying Duke pens from the US, paying the postage and incurring customs charges and the Post Office handling charge when buying Dukes? The two that I actually like only come to $30, or is there somewhere in the UK/Europe that I should look?

Of course when I come to order the 2 will probaly become 4!

Hmm.. I've considered this, and so far have come to a negative conclusion. If you want to buy a Duke in the UK, and you're an eBay member, try this guy: Duke

It may not be to your taste, but I have one of these and it's a wonderful writer. The nib is a fine/medium, firm but smooth. It is in fact a Duke Ruby, although not described by the seller as such. He seems to have a never-ending supply of them, so on no account should you pay more than £6.50 for it. If someone else bids, simply leave it and go to the next listed example.
